I am of the opinion that chefs are primarily artists. Their creativity is the motherlode of wonderful creations.
So it must be challenging for chefs to create chicken creations since most likely more than 50% of homes will be consuming chicken today from a current world population of the bird being around 34 billion.
In Jacques Pepins latest book Art of the Chicken: he says: “I was about seven years old the first time I actively took part in cooking a chicken without adult supervision”. He also reveals his secret life as an artist.
“I have over 130 illustrations painting chickens,” Pépin told Artnet News. “They wanted me to do recipes for it, but I said ‘I have 30 books of recipes. I don’t want to do more recipes!'”
“It will be a book of art and painting, but at the same time a book of stories,” Pépin said.
